Deana, or as many have grown to call her “D”, has been at CrossFit Bensalem for over 2 years and in that time has accomplished so much in and outside of this gym. After joining, D made a big life change when she enrolled in the Air Force Reserve. We could be more proud of this or her other many accomplishments. She not only continues to push herself toward her goals but encourages other members to do the same. Congrats D…and keep working hard, it’s paying off big time!!!
CFB: What was your fitness background prior to joining CFB?
Deana: I worked out 4-5 days a week, but I mainly just stuck with running and yoga.
CFB: When did you first start at CFB?
D: January 2015
CFB: Since joining CrossFit you enlisted in the Air Force. How has CrossFit impact that and your life outside of the gym?
D: CrossFit has impacted my life in a big way; it definitely helped me get through basic training a little easier and pass my PT test. I love the fact that CrossFit has brought a new level of fitness into my life. I have better outlook on life since joining.
CFB: What’s your favorite thing about CFB?
D: The people!
CFB: What is one goal you have this year?
D: Hopefully to get my L1.
CFB: What is one piece of advice that you would give someone considering CrossFit Bensalem or are new to CrossFit?
D: I would tell them not to be scared to try it; I know I was. The things that scare us the most are usually the best things that happen to us.
CFB: What do you see as your greatest improvement, as well as, some other results from doing CrossFit?
D: My greatest improvement is getting PRs on movements that I never thought I could get. I definitely feel more fit and confidents after doing CrossFit.
